The Chairman of Japan’s Osaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Sato Shigetaka, affirmed this at a meeting with Vietnamese President Truong Tan Sang in Hanoi on October 6.
Sato, who is also President of Japan’s Keihan Railway Group told the host about the feasibility study into the high speed Hanoi-Hoa Lac railway route project.
He expressed hope that Vietnam will open more international air routes to Osaka, develop marine routes connecting Osaka and Vietnam’s central seaports, improve the service quality in industrial zones and facilitate Japanese businesses’ investment in the country.
President Sang highlighted the rapid development of the Vietnam-Japan strategic partnership and technological knowhow of the Keihan group and wished that the group would help Vietnam develop its infrastructure, particularly urban transport.
He took the occasion to welcome the efforts of the Osaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry to encourage its member businesses to accept Vietnamese trainees.
He was hopeful that Sato’s visit would pave the way for building Japanese hi-tech industrial parks in Vietnam.
Vietnam will create all favourable conditions for the successful operation of Japanese businesses, President Sang said.
