Japan pledges effective implementation of ODA projects in Vietnam
VOV.VN - Japan will continue working closely with Vietnam to effectively implement projects funded by Japan’s official development assistance (ODA), especially in high-quality workforce development and administrative reform.
Abe said his nation backs Vietnam in successfully holding the APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting 2017 and wishes to increase bilateral ties in regional and global issues.
Chinh, in turn suggested Abe and the Japanese government further boost bilateral comprehensive partnership, especially in ODA provision, and the development of infrastructure, high technology, and quality human resources, as well as share experience in administrative reform and public health care.
The same day, Chinh met President of the Japanese House of Councillors Oshima Tadamori, Secretary General of the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) of Japan cum President of the Japan – Vietnam Friendship Parliamentarians’ Group Nikai Toshihiro and head of the LDP’s Policy Research Council Fumio Kishida.Oshima voiced his strong support for continuing ODA supply to Vietnam, and boosting ties between the two law-making bodies and the friendship parliamentarians’ groups.
He vowed to assist Vietnam in administrative reform projects and receiving more Vietnamese trainees and students.
The host wished that the two nations would continue mutual support in multilateral parliamentary forums to contribute to peace, security and stability in the region and the world.Japanese and LDP leaders expressed desire to further ties with the Communist Party of Vietnam and work hand in hand to celebrate the 45th anniversary of diplomatic ties next year.
