Italy-Vietnam Relations Institute debuts in Rome
The Italy-Vietnam Relations Institute known as IRIV- a non-profit organization made its debut in Rome on September 13.
IRIV Chairman Diliberto said the institute aims to promote the friendship and cooperation between the two countries in the political, cultural and educational fields.

The same day, the Vietnamese Embassy in Italy gave a National Day reception in the presence of Deputy Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son and his Italian counterpart Staffan De Mistura, international representatives and overseas Vietnamese in Italy.
In his speech, Mr Son recalled the historical moment 67 years ago when late President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence giving birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam and opening a new era for Vietnam’s struggle for national independence and freedom.
He spoke highly of the fine development of the traditional friendship and cooperation in various fields and thanked the Italian people as well as international friends for supporting Vietnam in the process of national construction and development.
For his part, Italian Deputy FM De Mistura said he hopes the political relations between Vietnam and Italy will continue to grow and flourish with both countries’ active preparations for the 40th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic ties next year.
