At reception, President Giorgio Napolinato said he is very delighted at the fine development of the traditional friendship and multifaceted cooperation between the two countries in recent years, and will fully support the organization of activities to mark the 49^th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic ties.

He asked the Vietnamese Ambassador to convey his best regards to President Sang and other leaders of the Vietnamese State, Party and Government.

In his new term, Mr Long said, he will do everything possible for the successful organization of the Vietnam Year in Italy in 2013 and actively contribute to strengthening bilateral ties, especially in the fields of trade, economics, culture, education and training, and science and technology.
