Italian Party official hails Vietnam’s development achievements
VOV.VN - Vietnamese Ambassador to Italy Duong Hai Hung held a working session on December 22 with Mauro Alboresi, secretary of the Italian Communist Party (PCI), who applauded the nation’s numerous socio-economic development achievements after over 35 years of renewal under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV).
He highlighted the country as an example of a model for both communist and workers’ parties around the world to follow, going on to express his wish to further deepen the traditional friendship between the two parties moving forward.
In response, Ambassador Hung thanked Italy’s political parties and people for supporting the nation during its historic struggle for nation liberation and reunification, as well as the renewal and nation building going on at present.
He therefore suggested that the two sides strengthen delegation exchanges and theoretical co-operation, as well as promote the image of Vietnam in Italy, especially on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic relations ahead in 2023.
As part of the occasion for the upcoming New Year, the Vietnamese diplomat wished the Secretary and other leaders of the PCI good health to continue making positive contributions to developing the two parties’ relations in the future.
