Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nguyen Quoc Cuong, praised Mr Perugini’s efforts to boost multifaceted co-operation between Vietnam and Italy in his tenure. “Presenting the friendship order to Mr Perugini demonstrates not only the Vietnamese Government’s sentiment, but also that of the people for the ambassador and the Italian people.

Ambassador Perugini thanked Vietnam for the country’s support in helping him fulfill his tasks and affirmed that the noble award is not only for himself but also for the Italian embassy. He said he was very happy to contribute to Vietnam’s success in its ASEAN presidency year and the grand ceremony of the 1,000^th anniversary of Thang Long-Hanoi, as well as enhance co-operation in many fields between the two countries.
