Pasquale Lupoli, head of International Organisation for Migration (IOM) Operators in the Middle East and North African region has sent a letter to the Vietnamese Ambassador to Egypt, Pham Sy Tam, highlighting the successful cooperation between the IOM and Vietnam.
In his letter, he pledged to further support the country in evacuating its labourers from other countries when necessary.
The IOM had helped Vietnam bring 192 workers back home safely via Egypt and Tunisia on commercial flights.
It had provided food for hundreds Vietnamese employees to help them reach the Salloum Border Gate in Egypt.
In Tunisia the IOM had also organised two flights to bring more than 372 Vietnamese workers back to their homeland.
