A get-together was held in Hanoi on September 3 to celebrate National Days of Vietnam (September 2) and Hungary (August 20).

The event, held by the Vietnam-Hungary Friendship Association, was attended by Hungarian ambassador to Vietnam, Torda Eszter, as well as diplomats and officials from both countries.

Chairman of the Vietnam-Hungary Friendship Association, Nguyen Dang Vang, highlighted the recent achievements of both countries in economics, politics, culture, education, and science and technology.

He spoke highly of the fine bilateral ties that have developed in recent years and said he believes that the Vietnam-Hungary relationship will continue to be strengthened in the future for mutual benefit, and for peace, stability and development in the region and the world.

Delegates at the function discussed ways to promote the exchange of information and create closer links among businesses in the two countries.

In recent years, the Vietnam-Hungary Friendship Association has made significant contributions to enhancing bilateral ties, mobilizing support from organizations and individuals for poor students and Agent Orange victims in Vietnam.
