Hung Yen forges stronger links with Chinese localities
VOV.VN - Hung Yen province is ramping up cooperation with Chinese localities, focusing on trade, investment, technology, and urban development, following a high-level delegation’s visit to Beijing.

A high-ranking delegation from Hung Yen province, led by member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Hung Yen provincial Party Committee Nguyen Huu Nghia, paid a working visit to Beijing, China, on March 24-25.
On March 24, Hung Yen held an investment promotion conference in Beijing.
During the visit, Secretary Nguyen Huu Nghia met with Liu Jianchao, head of the International Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee
At the meeting, Secretary Nguyen Huu Nghia affirmed that strengthening friendship and cooperation with China is a top priority in Vietnam’s independent, self-reliant, and diversified foreign policy. He emphasized that Hung Yen is willing to work hand in hand with Chinese localities to effectively implement key common perceptions reached between the top leaders of the two Parties and countries, as well as the joint statements issued.
For his part, Liu Jianchao praised the significant milestones in the long-standing friendship between the two Parties and countries. He also showed great joy at the robust development of bilateral relations in recent years, particularly since the two top leaders agreed to elevate ties to a Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership and build a Vietnam-China Community with a Shared Future of strategic significance.
Liu Jianchao hailed the positive achievements of both sides in politics, diplomacy, economic-trade cooperation, investment, culture, education, and people-to-people exchanges. He underscored that these efforts have strengthened the social foundation of bilateral relations and deepened practical cooperation.
The Chinese official reaffirmed China’s commitment to enhancing its friendship and Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership with Vietnam. He also expressed a desire to further beef up cooperation between Chinese localities and Hung Yen province.

He suggested that future cooperation should focus on sustainable trade expansion, industrial capacity collaboration, and deeper cooperation in culture and education to further strengthen the bilateral partnership.
On the afternoon of March 25, Secretary Nguyen Huu Nghia met with Beijing’s Party Committee leaders. The delegation was welcomed by You Jun, Deputy Secretary of the Beijing Municipal Party Committee.
During the meeting, both sides consented to work closely in realizing key common perceptions between the top leaders of the two Parties and countries and the signed joint statements. They also discussed strengthening economic, trade, and investment ties between the two localities.
Hung Yen welcomed and pledged to create favorable conditions for Chinese enterprises, particularly high-tech and reputable businesses from Beijing, to expand their investment in the locality. The province also expressed interest in intensify exchanges and cooperation with Beijing in technology application, innovation, digital transformation, high-tech industries, and manufacturing.
Additionally, the two sides exchanged views on regional development planning, urban management, transport infrastructure, digital economy, and green economy.
Beijing also expressed its desire to bolster trade cooperation with Hung Yen, enhance people-to-people exchanges, and deepen cultural and educational cooperation. These efforts aim to further advance the Vietnam-China Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership.
