At the March 8 meeting, the two municipal leaders agreed to enhance cooperation in various fields, including promoting the exchange of visits and sharing experiences between the two elected agencies.

They also proposed organizing cultural activities to celebrate the 45^th anniversary of Vietnam-Cambodia diplomatic ties.

Mr Mop Sarin expressed the Cambodian people’s gratitude to the Party, Government, voluntary soldiers and people of Vietnam for helping Cambodia defeat the Khmer Rouge regime and save Cambodian people from the genocide to reconstruct the nation.

The solidarity between Vietnam and Cambodia, fostered by former generations, has made important contributions to creating the close links between the two cities as well as the two nations, Mr Sarin said.
