The 93rd anniversary of the Russian October Revolution was celebrated in HCM City on November 4 by numbers of Vietnamese people who used to live and study in the former Soviet Union, and by Russians currently living and working in HCM City.
In a commemorative speech, the city’s Vice Chairman of the Vietnam-Russia Friendship Organisation, Tang Van Hong, recalled the great victories of the Russian October Revolution 93 years ago, which opened up a new era in humankind’s history.
The event had a great impact on national liberation movements around the world, including Vietnam.
Over the past few years, the Vietnam-Russia friendship has grown and flourished. Particularly through Russian President Dmitry Medvedev’s October visit to Vietnam, the two countries affirmed their determination to strengthen the strategic partnership in all fields.
