NA Chairman Nguyen Phu Trong and Secretary of the Hanoi municipal Party Committee Pham Quang Nghi were present at the conference.

During the past term, the delegation achieved important results in law making, supervision, handling complaints and denunciations, and fully participating in NA sessions.

Based on the annual law-making programme, the NA delegation contributed its opinions on 35 draft laws at NA sessions, organised 213 meetings with voters, and received 2,100 citizens.

In his speech, NA Chairman Trong praised the delegation’s significant contributions to the 12^th NA in terms of legislation, supervision and deciding on important national issues.

Mr Trong asked the delegation to renew its operations and increase the professional skills of its staff to better counsel and advise the NA. He also hoped that every Hanoi NA deputy will continue to uphold the tradition of solidarity and make positive contributions to the NA- the highest body of power representing voters’ rights.

The delegation, along with provinces and cities throughout the country needs to thoroughly prepare for the upcoming 13^th NA and the People’s Council elections at all levels, Mr Trong emphasised.
