“We hope that the meeting will bring about positive outcome, helping promote the normalisation of relations between Japan and DPRK, thus contributing to peace and stability in the region. In that spirit, we are willing to make effective contribution to ensure the success of the meeting,” said Mr Dung.

The spokesperson said that Vietnam has highly valued the important outcome of the fifth round of the six-party talks on the nuclear issues on the Korean Peninsula and recent positive developments in the relationship between DPRK and relevant countries.
