At a working session with provincial authorities, Mr Nhan said that to lure highly skilled workforce Ha Tinh build houses for engineers and workers and generate stable incomes for them.
He also suggested that the province organise either a human resource development conference at Vung Ang economic zone or a similar online conference linking Hanoi and HCM City, with the participation of representatives of ministries, agencies and businesses.
The province should establish a steering board on training to meet social needs, said Mr Nhan.
He said the government will establish a working group to ensure human resources for Vung Ang economic zone. To this end, he asked Ha Tinh to make a list of training centres that have trained personnel for projects in the zone so that the central steering board on training will come up with recommendations.
Nguyen Thien, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, said Ha Tinh pays special attention to developing human resources for its industries. He said the province has invested in building Ha Tinh University and upgrading its Medical High School, the Vietnam-Germany Vocational Training School and its Vocational Training School No5 into colleges.
He proposed that the government allocate capital for a project to build a vocational training centre at Vung Ang economic zone to create quality workforce for projects there.
During his stay in Ha Tinh, Deputy PM Nhan inspected the construction of Vung Ang No1 thermal power plant and Ky Long resettlement area.
