On March 31, Laos’ Vice President Boun-gnang Volachit and Prime Minister Thongsing Thammavong received the Vietnamese delegation.

Chairman Nguyen Thanh Binh congratulated the success of the ninth National Congress of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party and briefed leaders of Bolikhamxay and Khammuon provinces on the working results, relating to the transfer of technology for breeding and planting, education and training, as well as healthcare.

He noted that Ha Tinh province now has effective investment projects in Laos and wished to continue to develop a special friendship with Laos and push the Vietnam-Laos comprehensive cooperation.

Laos’ leaders welcomed the visit and highly appreciated that the delegation of Ha Tinh province takes such interest in the investment cooperation in Laos and the support to build many constructions in Bolikhamxay.

They also believed that Ha Tinh, with its potential, especially in Vung Ang economic zone, will make great contributions to promoting exchanges, building a peaceful border and intensifying special Laos-Vietnam relations.
