Truong Tan Sang, Politburo member and permanent member of the Party Central Committee Secretariat, has urged the Ha Giang administration to focus on young generation in its personnel plan.
Mr Sang held a working session with provincial leaders on the second day of his two-day visit to the northern mountainous province on November 21, telling them to care for human resource development, focus on young generation and send more officials to grassroots administrations.
He called on the local administration and ethnic groups to “work harder, more creative and more effectively” in economic development.
“Ha Giang should shift its crop structure to the commercial scale, increase crop productivity and improve farm produce quality,” the senior Party official said.
He said the province should make a greater effort to attract and efficiently manage investment, especially in socio-economic infrastructure projects.
On November 20, Mr Sang attended the inauguration of Na Lan bridge in Xin Man district. He also visited and presented gifts to teachers and students at the boarding school for ethnic children in Hoang Su Phi district on Vietnam Teachers’ Day.
