In 2007, the Government Committee for Religious Affairs will focus on effectively implementing its law dissemination project and intensifying propaganda activities relating to the Party’s stance and policies on religion and State laws towards religious people.

A meeting was held in Hanoi on January 29 by the Government Committee for Religious Affairs to review its activities in 2006 and to devise orientations and tasks for 2007.


In 2007, the Committee will focus on implementing effectively the law dissemination project, intensifying propaganda activities relating to the Party’s stance and policies on religion and State laws towards religious people.


In addition, the committee will also enhance the implementation of the Prime Minister’s Decree on religious activities of the Protestants living in the northern mountainous provinces and the Central Highlands. Particularly, the committee will publish a “White Book” on religion and promote foreign affairs activities relating to religious developments and legal policies on religion.


The same day, State Vice President Truong My Hoa presented the Independence Order, Second Class to the Director of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs Ngo Yen Thi in recognition of his positive contributions to the cause of national construction and defense.
