The German state of Bavaria is keen to strengthen economic cooperation with Vietnam’s localities.

State Minister of Federal and European Affairs, Emilia Mueller affirmed this at a reception for outgoing Vietnamese Consul-General to Germany Nguyen Huu Trang on May 24.

Bavarian enterprises, which have sought investment opportunities in Vietnam, are satisfied with the business environment in the country, she said.

On the occasion, she also spoke highly of the role of Vietnam’s Consulate General and Consul-General in making contributions to boosting political, economic, cultural and educational cooperation between Vietnam’s localities and Bavaria, in particular, and between Vietnam and Germany in general.

Consul-General Trang reviewed the results of cooperation between Vietnam and Germany as well as between Bavaria and Vietnamese localities, through the exchange of delegations and business missions.

The official said he hoped the state government would continue to create conditions for the Vietnamese community there, so they could make more economic contributions.
