The delegation paid a courtesy visit to President of the Thai National Assembly Chai Chidchob, and exchanged views with the President of the Thailand-Vietnam Friendship Parliamentary Group, Paichit Srivorakhan, and the Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Thai House of Representatives, Topong Chaiyasan.
President Chai Chidchob spoke highly of traditional friendship and multifaceted cooperation between Vietnam and Thailand. He affirmed that Thailand is willing to share its experience with Vietnam in organising the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA) meeting when the latter hosts the 31st AIPA General Assembly in Hanoi in 2010.
He extended deep sympathy to the Vietnamese leaders over huge human losses and property damage caused by tropical storm Ketsana. He said that the Thai National Assembly is ready to help Vietnam overcome the aftermath of the storm.
For his part, Mr Manh, who is also chairman of the Vietnam National Assembly Committee for External Relations, briefed his host on the results of the working sessions between the two sides. He thanked the Thai government, MPs and local administrations for creating favourable conditions for Vietnamese nationals to work and live stably in the country.
At the working sessions, Thai officials said that Thailand wants to promote all-round cooperation with Vietnam, especially in economics, trade and tourism.Bình luận của bạn đang được xem xét
