Mr Sisavat praised the visit which is taking place at a time when the two countries are preparing for their National Party Congresses. He also applauded Mrs Binh’s great contribution to the Vietnamese revolutionary cause and the Vietnam-Laos time-honoured friendship.

Former State President Binh affirmed that being the two fraternal countries, Vietnam and Laos should foster their special friendship and wished the 450^th anniversary of Vientiane great success.

Earlier, Mrs Binh met with Chairman of the Lao Committee for Peace and Solidarity, Khamphan Sinmalavon during which they briefed each other on the situation in their respective countries and underlined the need to promote cooperation and the exchange of experience in various field, particularly in human resources development.
