The former Party General Secretary congratulated the Lao Party, State and people on the successful organization of their 11^th National Party Congress and the elections for the 12^th National Assembly of Laos.

He also sent congratulations to the Lao Party General Secretary who was re-elected for a second tenure.

The former Party leader also said that, under the leadership of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party (LPRP), Laos will continue to develop well in all fields.

Mr Muoi affirmed that the Vietnamese Party, State and people thank the Lao Party, State and people for their wholehearted support of Vietnam in its cause of national construction and defense. He stressed that the special Vietnam-Laos relationship will be further consolidated and developed.

Mr Muoi recalled his impressions of Laos’ unique cultural identity and characteristics during his past visits to the country. He also conveyed his best regards to former Lao Party and State leaders through the Lao State President.

For his part, Mr Chumamaly Xaynhaxon appreciated the fine sentiments expressed by the Vietnamese leaders and people for his country. He said he always considers the friendship and solidarity between Vietnam and Laos a valuable asset and hopes that the traditional special cooperation nurtured by the leaders of both countries will continue.

He also wished Mr Muoi good health so he can make greater contributions to Vietnam’s development and further promote the relationship between Vietnam and Laos.
