FM receives Bhutani PM’s special envoy

On February 28, Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh received Lyonpo Kinzang Dorji, special envoy of the Prime Minister of the Royal Government of Bhutan who is on a working visit to Vietnam.

At the reception, FM Minh briefed Mr Kinzang and his delegation on the development situation in Vietnam and the results of cooperation between Vietnam and Bhutan in recent times. He expressed hope that bilateral relations will grow and flourish in the near future.

For his part, Mr Kinzang said he was delighted to visit Vietnam for the first time and see rapid changes in various fields.

“Vietnam is a country with great potential for future development. We are really impressed by the achievements Vietnam has recorded over the past few years, especially in the context of the global economic downturn.” said Mr Kinzang.

He also said he will do his best to consolidate and develop relations between Vietnam and Bhutan countries and wished that both countries would share valuable experiences in national development.

The same day, the Bhutani delegation also met with Deputy Foreign Minister Pham Quang Vinh.
