The information was given at the first session of the Central Election Commission (CEC), chaired by NA chairman and Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong on January 24.

At the meeting, the commission gave its opinions about the overall plan of the election and the preparation for a national congress to implement the election procedures.

Mr. Trong, who is also CEC chairman, asked the commission’s members to be fully aware of the procedure for election and make necessary preparations for the elections.

He also asked the CEC members to launch communication campaigns to mobilize voters to the election.
