A senior official of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) has pledged to increase bilateral cooperation and experience sharing with the Lao National Construction Front (LNCF) to further develop their ties as well as Vietnam-Laos relations at large.

The VFF Central Committee Vice President and General Secretary, Vu Trong Kim, made this commitment during his meeting with the Lao National Assembly Chairman, Thongsinh Thammavong, in Vientiane on April 6.

Kim, who is on a three-day working visit to Laos until April 7, stressed that national solidarity is an decisive factor in developing each country.

Chairman Thammavong appreciated cooperation and assistance the VFF has extended to its Lao counterpart, particularly in the training of officials at all levels.

The top legislator said he hoped that the two mass organisations would work together closely to further improve and fulfill their roles in their respective countries.

A day earlier, Kim had a working session with the LNCF Central Committee Vice President, Tongyer Tho, where they briefed each other on activities of their respective organisations over the past year.

The officials shared operation experiences in order to promote national unity and prosperity in both Vietnam and Laos.

Also on April 5, the VFF delegates were received by President of the LNCF Central Committee Sysavath Keobounphan.
