A photography exhibition marking the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) late President Kim II-Sung’s 100th anniversary opened in Hanoi on April 22.

On display are nearly 200 photographs, objects and documents featuring President Kim’s life and the friendship between the DPRK and Vietnam, which has been nurtured and flourished since the historic meetings between President Kim and the late President Ho Chi Minh in 1957 and 1958.

The exhibition also introduces the DPRK’s culture, history and remarkable achievements in national defense and construction over the past 60 years.

Nam Kyong Chon, Deputy Director of the DPRK Revolution Museum, said the event shows Vietnamese people’s respect for the great leader of the DPRK Revolution and will help strengthen the ties between the two countries.

The exhibition is being held jointly by the Ho Chi Minh Museum and the DPRK Revolution Museum for the fifth time.
