The Vietnam National Assembly (NA) Ethnic Council has held a seminar on how to use the state budget more effectively and supervise investment projects in mountainous areas for ethnic minorities.

The seminar took place in Buon Ma Thuot city, Dak Lak province on July 15-16.

Most participants agreed on the need to increase the management skills and attitude of the NA and people’s council staff at all levels involved in carrying out national programmes in mountainous areas inhabited by ethnic minority groups.

They suggested that the NA’s bodies should work closely with other related agencies to improve their staff’s management capacity as well as supervisory role.
