Estonia wants to strengthen and develop its friendship and cooperation with Vietnam, especially in the economy, IT, culture, tourism and education, said President Toomas Hendrik Ilves.
President Ilves was speaking to the newly-appointed Vietnamese Ambassador to Estonia, Doan Ngoc Boi, following the presentation of his credentials on August 25.
The Estonian leader applauded Boi’s opinions on measures to promote bilateral relations, such as increasing the exchange of visits at all levels, rapidly building a legal framework to facilitate economic cooperation and stepping up coordination at regional and international forums.
Boi promised to work closely with concerned agencies of both nations to advance the Vietnam-Estonia relationship, particularly in the fields of economy, trade, culture, education and IT.
