PM Nguyen Tan Dung made the remarks at a conference on implementing organisational tasks for 2007, which was held by the Ministry of Home Affairs in Hanoi on January 29.

Being the government’s main advisor personnel nomination and organisation, the Ministry of Home Affairs plays a key role in effectively carrying out administrative reform, said the PM.

According to PM Dung, the Ministry of Home Affairs should propose fields that need to apply the “one-door” mechanism in dealing with citizens and enterprises, while improving its recruitment tasks, encouraging the training of high-skilled experts and creating favourable conditions for the promotion of competent young staff.

Minister of Home Affairs Do Quang Trung told the two-day conference that one of the main tasks for 2007 is to realise the Resolution of the 10^th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam concerning the reform of the State apparatus and administrative agencies , particularly administrative procedures.
