Vietnamese Embassy officials and staff, and representatives of Vietnamese agencies in Mexico have laid a wreath at President Ho Statue in Cuauhtemoc city in commemoration of the late president on the Lunar New Year Festival.


Ambassador Pham Van Que reviewed the operations of the representative Vietnamese agencies in Mexico to promote the image of Vietnam, its people and land amongst international friends, and to strengthen friendship between the two nations.


He announced a plan to build a President Ho Statue Complex at Acapulco region in the southern State of Guerrero, which is scheduled for completion on May 19 to celebrate the late president’s 120th birth anniversary.


The Statue will be unveiled during the inauguration ceremony of the Vietnam Week in Mexico to be held in Guerrero State.


The cultural week will mark the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between Vietnam and Mexico, the 120th birth anniversary of President Ho, the 65th National Day of Vietnam, the 1,000th anniversary of Hanoi capital and the 200th anniversary of Mexico’s Independence Day.
