The meeting, attended by representatives of the Vietnamese government and bilateral and multilateral donors, will focus on the assessment of the macroeconomic situation and policy priorities for 2010, the national socio-economic development strategy for 2011-2020 and the socio-economic development plan 2011-2015, and responding to climate change.

The meeting will be chaired by Minister of Planning and Investment Vo Hong Phuc and the country director for the World Bank in Vietnam, Victoria Kwakwa.

Donor countries and international development organisations committed more than US$8 billion in support of Vietnam’s poverty reduction and development agenda in last year’s meeting.
