Vietnam’s achievements are impressive, said Dominican Ambassador to Vietnam Hans Dannenberg Castellanoss at a recent reception in Hanoi to mark the 163rd anniversary of National Day of the Dominican Republic.

Ambassador Castellanoss said that the Dominican Republic should learn from Vietnam’s experience in overcoming war wounds to look forward to a bright future.

It’s time for both sides to co-operate in poverty reduction and sustainable development through economic and trade exchanges, said the Ambassador.

For his part, Assistant to the Foreign Minister of Vietnam Dao Viet Trung congratulated the Dominican Government and people on their national day and spoke highly of the fine development in the friendship and co-operative relations between the two countries.

Mr Trung said he believes that with both sides’ efforts, bilateral ties will be constantly enhanced for the sake of their prosperity, and for peace, co-operation and development in the two regions and the world at large.
