Public consultation strengthens draft documents for 14th National Party Congress
VOV.VN - Vietnamese authorities have recently summarised the results of collecting feedback from officials, Party members, and the people on the draft documents for the coming 14th National Party Congress, covering the period from October 15 to November 6.
According to a report made by the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Information, Education and Mass Mobilisation, localities, agencies, and units implemented a variety of flexible and diverse communication methods, ensuring that people both inside and outside the country had the opportunity to access and contribute their opinions on the draft documents.
During the consultation period, 3,908 meetings, seminars, and discussions were organised, receiving 127,584 direct contributions from officials, Party members, and the people. In addition, the VneID application recorded 2,131,376 opinions, written submissions via mail and newspapers totaled 1,722 contributions, and 240,583 opinions were collected through the online consultation system.
As many as 2,501,265 opinions were submitted regarding the draft documents. Specifically, the draft Political Report received 1,169,638 opinions; the draft report summarising forty years of socialist-oriented renovation in Vietnam received 792,533 opinions; the draft report reviewing fifteen years of the Party Charter (2011–2025) and proposing amendments received 538,572 opinions, while other comments concerning the structure and form of the reports totaled 522 opinions.
Most officials, Party members, and the public expressed high agreement with the draft documents, noting that they were carefully prepared, comprehensive, realistic, and forward-looking. Many highlighted the innovative, scientific, and practical approach, especially the integration of three key documents into the Political Report. This integration allowed readers to easily understand the country’s overall situation and the Party’s leadership achievements while also encouraging discussion and contributions to enhance the quality of the documents submitted to the Congress.
Overall, the feedback reflects the trust and expectations of officials, Party members, and the people regarding the Party’s leadership, as well as a spirit of innovation, scientific thinking, and openness in the preparation process for the 14th National Congress documents.
