Press Centre inaugurated for Vietnam’s 80th National Day anniversary
VOV.VN - The Central Steering Committee for the Commemoration of Major National Holidays and Historical Events inaugurated the Press Centre for Vietnam’s 80th National Day at the National Assembly building, Hanoi, on August 26.

The Press Centre, located in the basement of the National Assembly building, will serve as a hub for information on National Day activities, support reporters’ work, and handle press-related requests. By facilitating accurate and timely reporting, the centre plays a crucial role in ensuring the overall success of National Day celebrations.
At the inauguration ceremony, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Hai Binh, who also serves as Director of the Press Centre, affirmed that all necessary conditions would be provided for domestic and international journalists covering the event.
The centre will proactively supply official information from the Organizing Committee to ensure the celebration achieves its planned objectives, he said.
Binh expressed confidence that the press would help foster national pride and public trust in the Party and the State through activities to be held on this occasion. He urged journalists and editors to report swiftly, accurately, and in accordance with security regulations.
Vietnam will hold a grand ceremony on September 9 to mark the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 – 20250 and national Day (September 2, 1945 – 2025).
The landmark event provides an opportunity for people to reflect on Vietnam’s heroic history, instil patriotic traditions, strengthen unity, promote peace, and honour those who sacrificed for national independence and unity. It also reaffirms the determination of the entire Party, people, and military in building and defending the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
Moreover, the press plays a vital role in cultivating trust and pride in the Party and State, fostering social consensus, supporting effective implementation of Party guidelines and State policies, and encouraging citizens and officials to overcome challenges, seize opportunities, and achieve development objectives, helping to propel the country into a new era of prosperity and national strength.
