PM requests prompt response to local, global developments
VOV.VN - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, while chairing a Government meeting in Hanoi on April 27 underscored the need to respond to policy changes quickly, promptly, appropriately, flexibly, and effectively in the face of complex and unpredictable developments both globally and domestically.

He asked ministries, sectors, and localities to closely monitor the real situation, stick to the overall set goals, and proactively propose timely and appropriate solutions to new arising issues, so as to avoid passivity or surprise.
Policy management must ensure macroeconomic stability, inflation control, growth promotion, and balance of major economic indicators, he reminded.
In addition, the Prime Minister called for continued efforts to remove obstacles for production and business activities, support people and enterprises, and accelerate public investment disbursement to stimulate growth.
The Prime Minister made it clear that there must be strengthened decentralisation and delegation of authority along with the allocation of resources, enhancement of execution capacity, and design of tools to improve inspection, supervision, and power control.
At the meeting, key Government members focused their discussions on a draft law amending and supplementing a number of articles of 7 laws related to bidding; investment under the Public-Private Partnership model; customs; export-import tax; investment; public investment; and management and use of public property. They also debated a draft law on the management and investment of state capital in enterprises.
The Government members also gave opinions on the establishment of an international financial centre in Vietnam and some issues related to the Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (Petrovietnam).
The meeting gathered opinions on those issues to be debated at the coming session of the National Assembly that is due to begin in Hanoi on May 5.
