Party plenum approves key documents and personnel for 14th National Party Congress
VOV.VN - The 13th plenum of the Party Central Committee concluded in Hanoi on October 8, adopting key documents to be submitted to the 14th National Party Congress, along with a consensus on the nomination of candidates for the next Party Central Committee and the Central Inspection Commission.

The draft documents have been carefully prepared and streamlined for clarity and substance, while reflecting a strategic vision for national development. They outline clear directions for breakthroughs in institutions, infrastructure, and human resources, and emphasise digital and green transformation, regional connectivity, and sustainable, self-reliant economic growth.
Regarding personnel, the Party Central Committee reached a high level of consensus on the nomination list for the new Party Central Committee and the Central Inspection Commission. These nominations meet strict requirements for integrity, competence, reputation, and efficiency.
The Committee also gave opinions on the schedule, agenda, working regulations, and electoral procedures for the upcoming 14th National Party Congress, with the guiding principle of ensuring compliance with Party statutes while fostering innovation, efficiency, and practicality.
In addition to these key matters, the plenum addressed a wide range of crucial issues, including efforts to complete the remaining targets of the 2021–2025 socio-economic development plan; preparations for the 2026–2030 socio-economic development and financial plans; institutional reform; anti-corruption and anti-waste efforts; administrative restructuring; national defence and security; and deeper international integration.

In his closing speech, Party General Secretary To Lam affirmed that the meeting completed its entire agenda with a high level of consensus. All key items, including the approval of documents for the upcoming 14th National Party Congress and the consensus on personnel nominations for the next Party Central Committee and Central Inspection Commission, were thoroughly discussed and agreed upon.
He called on all Party committees and government bodies at every level to seriously implement the Party Central Committee’s conclusions, take decisive and transparent action, and accelerate execution to create breakthroughs starting in the final months of 2025.
In addition to preparing carefully for the 14th National Party Congress, he emphasised the need to make thorough preparations for the election of delegates to the 16th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026–2031 term, ensuring that the process is democratic, disciplined, and effective.
