Party leader To Lam commemorates late General Secretary Truong Chinh
VOV.VN - Party General Secretary To Lam on January 16 offered incense in commemoration of late General Secretary Truong Chinh, a brilliant student of President Ho Chi Minh, at the Memorial dedicated to the late Party leader in Xuan Hong commune of Nam Dinh province.
Born on February 9, 1907, into an intellectual and patriotic family in Hanh Thien village, Xuan Hong commune, Truong Chinh dedicated over 60 years to revolutionary activities. He was entrusted with many key roles in the Party and the State.
Throughout his career, he exemplified dedication, compassion for comrades and the people, and a life committed to the independence and freedom of the nation and the happiness of its people. As a brilliant student of President Ho Chi Minh, he left behind significant political and theoretical legacies for the Party and the State, including the Outline on Vietnamese Culture. His cultural perspectives remain highly relevant, offering invaluable lessons for the Party in building and protecting the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
In a solemn and sacred atmosphere, To Lam and other Party officials offered incense and observed a moment of silence to remember Truong Chinh, a steadfast communist fighter, an outstanding leader of the Vietnamese revolution, and a distinguished figure in politics, culture, theory, journalism, and poetry.
He also emphasized the late General Secretary’s pivotal role in proposing and leading critical strategies, especially during decisive phases of the Vietnamese revolution in the past.
On this occasion, General Secretary To Lam also met with and encouraged local officials and residents, wishing them good health, happiness and success in the lunar New Year 2025.
