VOV.VN - The National Assembly Standing Committee will convene its 6th session in Hanoi, starting on December 7, to discuss key issues, including amendments to a number of business and investment bills.

Among legal documents to be tabled for discussions will be revised bills on public investment, investment in the form of the public private partnership (PPP), bidding, electricity, enterprise and special consumption tax.
Deputies will also give opinions on a draft resolution on specific policies and mechanism to be piloted in Can Tho, the largest centrally run city in the Mekong Delta.
On socio-economic development issues, Committee deputies will give opinions on fiscal and monetary policies for the implementation of the socio-economic recovery and development programme. They will debate an investment policy for the North-South expressway construction project in the 2021-2025 period.
The deputies will also examine the implementation of a number of mechanisms and policies in the health sector to support the fight against COVID-19.
Also high on the working agenda will be preparations for the extraordinary session of the National Assembly scheduled for early 2022.
The five-day session will be divided into two phases, with the first taking place from December 8-10, and the second phase from December 21-22. NA Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue and other NA Vice Chairmen will preside over these discussions.
