Fatherland Front leader sends Christmas greetings to Catholics, Protestants
VOV.VN - Marking the coming Christmas 2025, Politburo member and Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee Bui Thi Minh Hoai sent a congratulatory letter to religious dignitaries, clergy and all Catholic and Protestant followers across the country.
In her message, the Fatherland Front leader extended her warmest Christmas greetings and best wishes for peace, happiness and love to members of the clergy, religious officials and Christian believers nationwide.
Reflecting on the past year, she noted that Vietnam has continued to move forward amid a context marked by intertwined opportunities and challenges. Under the leadership of the Party, the management of the State and the unity and concerted efforts of the entire population, the country has maintained political and social stability, promoted economic recovery and development, accelerated digital transformation, ensured social welfare, safeguarded national defence and security, and enhanced its position and prestige on the international stage.
She stressed that these achievements are the shared outcome of the great national unity bloc, to which religious communities, including Catholic and Protestant followers, have made active, persistent and responsible contributions. The Vietnam Fatherland Front highly appreciates the spirit of “Respecting God and Loving the Nation” and “Living the Gospel in the heart of the nation” demonstrated by Catholic and Protestant communities.
According to the VFF leader, many religious dignitaries, clergy and believers have strictly complied with the Party’s guidelines and the State’s laws and policies, actively mobilised followers to participate in patriotic emulation movements and campaigns launched by the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organisations. They have supported the poor and vulnerable groups, engaged in environmental protection and climate change response, advanced new-style rural development and civilised urban construction, and played an active role in education, healthcare, humanitarian and charitable activities, as well as to strengthening national unity.
As Vietnam moves forward with comprehensive renewal, deeper and more proactive international integration, and organisational streamlining to improve efficiency and effectiveness, the VFF expressed its hope that religious dignitaries, clergy and Christian followers would continue to uphold their fine traditions, stand alongside the nation, and perform an active role in strengthening the great national unity bloc, thereby helping to build a more prosperous, civilised and happy country.
The VFF leader reaffirmed that the VFF will always listen, stand alongside and closely coordinate with religious organisations, respect and safeguard freedom of belief and religion, create favourable conditions for religious activities in accordance with their charters and the law, and support religions in making increasingly positive contributions to the common cause of the nation and the happiness of the people, including Catholic and Protestant communities.
