Education is key to future success, says NA Chairman
VOV.VN - National Assembly (NA) Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue emphasised the importance of education, outlining it as key to future success, while attending the start of the new school year in Nghe An province on September 3.
Caring for and competently educating pupils is key to the future, liberating people from poverty and backwardness, and achieving a prosperous, free, and happy life, NA Chairman Hue said at a ceremony held in Ky Son upper secondary school of Ky Son district, a poor, border locality of Nghe An province.
He went on to affirm that the Party and State continue to place special importance on education and training, considering it to be the top national policy, to ensure that all students, no matter where they live, have access to education in a fair and equitable manner.
The NA Chairman also expressed his desire for teachers to always serve as shining examples, not only to equip students with knowledge, but also to instill students with passion for learning and discovering new horizons of knowledge and science.
He requested that grassroots-level governments and the education sector pay special attention to generating an exemplary pedagogical environment for teachers and students in order to ensure that they fully develop their capabilities, thereby supporting national future development.
The Ky Son upper secondary school built by Trung Nam group with a total investment capital of VND210 billion, was inaugurated on September 3. The school is fully equipped with modern facilities and is designed to accommodate approximately 2,000 students.
The same day saw Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh inspect preparations for the new school year at Yen Lap primary school in Yen Lap district of Phu Tho province.
The PM shared some of the difficulties teachers and students endured during the recent COVID-19 fight, as well as pressure teachers have suffered under the educational reform programme. He expressed his belief that all teachers would overcome difficulties and uphold the spirit of creativity in order to educate students, the future masters of the nation.
The PM asked administrators and educators to heavily invest in school facilities and care for teachers’ life as a means of ensuring that they have peace of mind in their work and dedication to the cause of education.
