• Diplomatic conference targets foreign affairs in national development

The sector will continue to focus on political, economic and cultural diplomacy, and overseas Vietnamese affairs.

The program shows the sector’s strong determination to bring into full play Vietnam’s foreign affairs so as to serve national development and translate the Party’s foreign policy to life, said delegates.

In his closing speech, Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh affirmed that the December 12-19 conference was a good forum for diplomats and senior officials to share experiences and work out future plans and orientations.

Participants pointed out opportunities and challenges the sector is facing and outlined specific measures to carry out the foreign policy guidelines.

They also proposed measures to increase the effectiveness of diplomatic activities to create a peaceful and stable environment for national industrialization and modernization.
