Vietnam to attend 2025 St. Petersburg International Economic Forum
VOV.VN - Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long will lead a Vietnamese delegation to attend the 28th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) in Russia from June 18 to 21, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The 2025 SPIEF is scheduled to open on June 18 under the theme "Shared Values: The Foundation for Growth in a Multipolar World." The forum, held under the patronage of Russian President Vladimir Putin, brings together participants from 137 countries and territories, along with international organisations, business leaders, and leading experts.
Organised by the Roscongress Foundation, SPIEF is a major global economic platform, particularly known for fostering dialogue among countries in the Global South. This year’s forum will feature approximately 150 discussion sessions, drawing strong interest from Africa, Asia, and Latin America. Key topics include economic growth, technology, sustainable development, demographics, and digital transformation.
In his welcome message, President Putin reaffirmed Russia’s commitment to a multipolar world based on sovereignty, cultural identity, and international equality. He expressed hope that SPIEF would contribute prtactical solutions to today’s global challenges.
