Top leader pledges to promote Korean operations in Vietnam
VOV.VN - Vietnam always supports, accompanies, and commits to creating a fair, transparent, stable, and favourable investment environment for foreign businesses, including those from the Republic of Korea (RoK) to operate efficiently in the country.

Party General Secretary To Lam made the commitment during his meeting with 17 leading Korean corporations in Seoul on August 12 as part of his ongoing state visit to the RoK at the invitation of President Lee Jae-myung.
He highly appreciated Korean businesses’ cooperation in Vietnam and affirmed that the Vietnam–RoK relationship is developing positively, forming a solid foundation for comprehensive cooperation across multiple fields, especially in economics, trade, and investment.
According to the leader, Vietnam is currently advancing a high-quality development strategy focused on science and technology, green economy, digital transformation, and innovation. It is continuously improving the investment environment and protecting the legitimate rights of foreign investors, including Korean businesses.
Vietnam will continue to implement breakthrough, flexible, and superior policies to maximise convenience for the international business community, he said.
Amid profound global shifts in technology, energy, and supply chains, Vietnam and the RoK face new, deeper, and more comprehensive cooperation opportunities, and enterprises from both countries should leverage these opportunities to take bilateral relations to new heights, he suggested.

The Party leader addressed Korean businesses’ proposals on cooperation in technology workforce training, expanding digital economy and fintech sectors. He welcomed cooperation ideas in clean energy, nuclear power, LNG power and ports, high-speed rail, and comprehensive energy and infrastructure modernisation projects aligned with Vietnam’s long-term development orientation.
These proposals fully match Vietnam’s long-term development orientation, and Vietnam always welcomes Korean enterprises with experience and advanced technology to engage more deeply in its energy transition and national infrastructure modernisation in the coming period, he said.
On this occasion, General Secretary To Lam also provided additional information and directly responded to the proposals from leading Korean investors regarding collaboration in training human resources for the technology sector, as well as expanding cooperation in the fields of the digital economy and digital finance.
