President encourages Burgenland to form partnerships with VN localities
VOV.VN - State President Vo Van Thuong has encouraged the Austrian State of Burgenland to enter into partnerships with Vietnamese localities sharing similarities in terms of economy - society, culture and tourism so as to promote people-to-people diplomacy and mutual understanding between the two sides.

Meeting with Hans Peter Doskozil, governor of Burgenland, on July 25, Thuong, who was currenty on an official visit to Austria, called on firms of Burgenland to seize investment and business opportunities in Vietnam, and at the same time support the Southeast Asian nation in the field of renewable energy and green growth.
He congratulated Burgenland on its marked development achievements in recent years, making the state become a dynamic economic center and a leader in renewable energy development, with a developed agriculture and tourism industry in Austria.
Doskozil for his part briefed his guest on the state’s strengths, especially public health and social welfare services for senior citizens, and said Burgenland strives to achieve its net zero gas emissions target by 2030.
He appreciated Thuong’s suggestions and affirmed that Burgenland wishes to enhance cooperation in investment-trade, sustainable development, renewable energy, tourism, culture and people-to-people exchanges with Vietnamese localities.
