Party leader To Lam concludes official visit to Bulgaria

VOV.VN - Party General Secretary To Lam and his spouse along with a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation landed at Noi Bai International Airport, Hanoi, on October 25 (local time), concluding a successful official visit to Bulgaria at the invitation of President Rumen Radev.

They were earlier seen off at Sofia Airport by Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Bulgarian Socialist Party Atanas Zafirov, Foreign Secretary to the President Roussi Ivanov, Chief of Protocol Mircho Ivanov, Vietnamese Ambassador to Bulgaria Nguyen Thi Minh Nguyet, and representatives of the Vietnamese Embassy and community in Bulgaria.

During the October 22-24 visit, General Secretary To Lam held talks with President Rumen Radev; met with the Prime Minister, National Assembly Chairperson, and Chairman of the Bulgarian Socialist Party; attended and spoke at the Vietnam–Bulgaria Business Forum; witnessed the signing of multiple cooperation documents; and visited Sofia University and the National History Museum of Bulgaria.

The official visit marked an important milestone in bilateral relations, providing an opportunity for the leaders of both countries to review the achievements of the 75-year-long traditional friendship and to set strategic directions for elevating the Vietnam–Bulgaria relationship to new heights in the years ahead.
