Party General Secretary To Lam begins official visit to Bulgaria
VOV.VN - A high-ranking Vietnamese delegation led by Party General Secretary To Lam and his spouse left Helsinki on October 22, successfully concluding their official visit to Finland and beginning an official visit to Bulgaria.

Party leader To Lam and his entourage were seen off at the airport by Mika Koskinen, Director General of the Protocol Department at the Finnish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Pekka Juhani Voutilainen, Ambassador of Finland to Vietnam.
During the visit, General Secretary Lam held talks with Finnish President Alexander Stubb. The two sides agreed to elevate their bilateral relations to a strategic partnership to fully tap into their cooperation potential.
They also agreed to make effective use of the EU–Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA), creating favourable conditions for businesses from both countries to promote cooperation opportunities, especially in the fields of agricultural products and consumer goods.
On this occasion, Vietnam and Finland issued a joint statement on the upgrade of their relations, appreciating the significant achievements in bilateral ties, reaffirming key principles, and outlining major orientations to further strengthen and deepen the traditional friendship and partnership for the long-term interests of both peoples, as well as for peace, stability, cooperation, and sustainable development in each region and the wider world.
With a series of important activities, the visit to Finland by Party General Secretary To Lam reflected the depth, strategic vision, and comprehensiveness of the bilateral relationship. In particular, it marked the beginning of a new stage, creating strong and breakthrough progress in cooperation with Finland, bringing about many positive outcomes for the benefit of both peoples, and contributing actively to peace, stability, cooperation, and sustainable development regionally and globally.
