Laos congratulates Vietnam on National Reunification Day
VOV.VN - The Central Committee of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party sent a congratulatory message to the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam on the 47th anniversary of Southern Liberation and National Reunification Day (April 30).
In the congratulatory message, the Lao side notes that 47 years ago on April 30 the Vietnam Workers’ Party, now the Communist Party of Vietnam, launched the historic Ho Chi Minh campaign to overthrow the Saigon puppet regime. The campaign ended in total victory, helping liberate the south and unify the country, thus fulfilling President Ho Chi Minh’s noble wish.
The Party has then continued to lead the Vietnamese people to overcome numerous difficulties and challenges, build and develop the nation for people’s happiness, firmly protect revolutionary records and implement the Doi Moi (reform) policy toward socialism.
The Lao People’s Revolutionary Party and Lao people highly appreciate the great achievements and victories of historical significance that the Vietnamese people have won in all fields, thereby elevating Vietnam’s role and position regionally and globally.
They express their belief that, under the clear-sighted leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam led by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, Vietnam will continue to record greater achievements in its development to turn Vietnam into a modern industrialized nation moving forward.
They also hold that despite regional and global complications, the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two parties, States and peoples of Laos and Vietnam have constantly been deepened, bringing practical benefits for the two nations.
