Deputy PM Pham Binh Minh meets with Lao counterpart in New York
VOV.VN - Deputy Prime Minister Pham Binh Minh, while attending the high-level general debate of the 77th UN General Assembly in New York, met with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Laos Saleumxay Kommasith on September 23.
They expressed their delight at the positive development of the special solidarity and friendly relationship as well as the cooperation results between the two countries in recent times. They affirmed that both sides always attach importance to and give the highest priority to strengthening the Vietnam - Laos relationship.
They vowed to effectively implement agreements reached by the two countries’ senior leaders, and the results of the recent 44th meeting of the Vietnam - Laos Intergovernmental Committee.
The two sides agreed to closely coordinate with each other in enhancing the exchange of high-level visits and in implementing the remaining activities in the Solidarity and Friendship Year between the two countries.
They also agreed to promote the implementation of key cooperation projects, and at the same time strengthen coordination and mutual support at international, regional and sub-regional forums.
