Burundi President Evariste Ndayishimiye begins Vietnam visit
VOV.VN - President of Burundi Evariste Ndayishimiye and his spouse arrived in Hanoi on April 3 evening, beginning an official visit to Vietnam at the invitation of President Luong Cuong and his spouse.

President Evariste Ndayishimiye and his spouse were welcomed at Noi Bai International Airport by Minister of Science and Technology Nguyen Manh Hung, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Minh Hang, along with representatives from the Office of the President.
Burundi is a country in East Africa. Vietnam and Burundi established diplomatic relations in 1975. The two sides have maintained a good friendship and cooperative relationship through both State and Party channels.
President Ndayishimiye has been in office since 2020. He admires Vietnam’s history of national independence struggles and appreciates the country’s significant achievements in national construction and development, viewing Vietnam as a model for other developing nations.
Africa is emerging as a dynamically developing region, with economic growth second only to the Asia-Pacific region.
During the April 3- 6 visit, President Evariste Ndayishimiye is expected to hold talks with President Luong Cuong, and meet with Party General Secretary To Lam Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.
Both sides are expected to sign and exchange a number of cooperation documents on this occasion.
