The Deputy PM will be accompanied by representatives from the Government Office, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Trade, the Ministry of Planning and Investment, the Ministry of Transport and the Ministry of Industry.
In response to questions from reporters on March 23, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Le Dung said the visit aims to develop comprehensive relations between the two countries on a broader and more effective scale.
Also on the agenda are the implementation of the Vietnam-China agreements reached during high-level visits and meetings in 2006 and preparations for high-level visits in 2007 as well. Measures to implement the economic and trade agreements and boost cooperation between border provinces will also be discussed.
The Deputy PM is expected to hold talks with Chinese Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing and Chinese leaders. Apart from Beijing, the Vietnamese delegation will also visit Shanghai city and the Macao Special Administrative Region.
