Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Gia Khiem received a visiting delegation from the Swedish Parliament's Committee for External Affairs in Hanoi on March 8.

Deputy PM Khiem thanked the Swedish Parliament, Government and people for their generous and effective assistance to Vietnam over nearly four decades. He stated that the friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Sweden will continue develop for the benefit of the two peoples and for peace, stability and development in the world.


The Swedish parliamentarians, headed by Aleksander Gabelic, who is also President of the United Nations Association of Sweden, expressed their joy at witnessing Vietnam's achievements in economic development, particularly in poverty reduction. They expressed their belief that Vietnam will further develop in every field.
